The first thing that struck me about Moss Rose on arrival was just how close I could park to it an hour or so before kick off.  Macclesfield is a pleasant market town and not a hotbed of footballing passion but that is all part of the charm of lower league football.  Still, there was no room for complacency, and Southend duly left with the points.  I left with an overall warm feeling from my visit.  You can never have enough Moss Roses...
