I'd been to Moss Rose once before, back in 1982 for the visit of my home town side, Worcerster City in an FA Cup game. City won that 5 - 1. Since the SIlkmen were looking likely candidates for a Football League place I thought I had better go again. The Bristol STreet Motors stand on one touchline was as I remembered it but the rest of ground appeared to have much more modern stands that had clearly been built since my visit over thirty years earlier. Considering how well the home side were doing I felt the support was a bit muted albeit that may have been the cold and the fact that they struggled to get a draw against a very lowly Torquay side.
