Game watched: West Ham United 0-3 Southampton
Major drawback is the distance from the spectators to the pitch. Whilst the stadium is converted from athletics to football use the distance issue is not fully resolved. The stadium's basic design with large open concourse area also detracts from the atmosphere. Seats, catering and toilets are all fine. The transport options should be a positive but the walking routes you are forced to use after the match largely remove that advantage resulting in the ten minute train journey from Stratford International to St Pancras being expanded out to well over an hour by unnecessarily walking you via the Stratford Domestic station and putting you in a common huge queue with those going from there. Absolutely daft!!
