Cambridge and Southend, two clubs whose fortunes during the 90's rose and fell together but, by the time of this encounter, the Blues were resurgent whilst the Yellows were headed for the non-league wilderness.  Southend were too strong and eased their way towards promotion, via the playoffs.  The Abbey Stadium is an open, simple ground, befitting of the fens.  it's been a while, but it's time to look up an old acquaintance...
