My main memory of my first visit to Stamford Bridge was pain- Stoke conceding 2 goals in the last few minutes to turn victory into defeat. The ground, however, was quite a sight. The deep blue of the stands and seats on a dark January afternoon was pretty intimidating and the crowd were surprisingly good for saying they were playing little old Stoke. Subsequent visits have seen Stoke be pretty hopeless- losing an FA Cup Quarter Final and being hammered 7-0.
