I visited Bournemouth for a Manchester United pre-season game at the start of the 2002-03 Season. At the time, Dean Court had not long since been completely rebuilt with the pitch being rotated 90 degrees, into a modern 3 sided stadium which held just over 9,000 people at the time. Temporary seats have since been put in, on the open unbuilt end of the stadium behind one of the goals.

Bournemouth itself is a great place to visit, however the stadium is about 30 minutes walk away from there on the outskirts. So, a taxi or bus would be needed if you wanted to combine your visit to the ground with spending time in Bournemouth. I parked on the stadium car park, next to the ground - no walk but it took time to get away afterwards, as expected.
