Good way to start 2020! 1 up after 2 mins from our 18 year old striker, 3 up by half time, finish the game 4-2. Train journey was easy. Went to the old vic pub opposite the train station, had to have a soft drink due to dry January attempt! Then walked to the ground, took about 30 mins but was pretty easy straight forward route. Visited the Sir Tom Finney statue before going into the ground. Good size away concourse, got a cottage pie and water and a free mince pie! As it was a cup game it was sit anywhere, which suited me as I had done my back in over Christmas, so got a quiet space with not too many steps! Changed 8 members of the starting line up, but got a much needed win and hopefully a confidence boost going into the match at Old Trafford next week. The sun was setting in the far corner which gave a nice backdrop to the game second half. Let’s hope for Norwich scoring 4 in Lancashire next weekend too!
