Game watched: Derby U23 2-1 Wolves U23
The day after the night before my 18th birthday. Was in a sombre mood from the day before, watching the Iron get pumped against a quality Pompey team at Fratton Park, was with my dad during the whole weekend and this groundhop would never have happened until me and my father did some intense and desperate research to do 2 games/2 new grounds in 2 games.... Dad is trying to beat me to finish the 92 however at the time of writing this he's 6 grounds behind :D. Was such a cold but beautiful day for football, got my picture next to what was Frank Lampard's parking spot outside the front of the ground. Did a few laps of the ground and had a cheeky Greggs which is conveniently situated outside the ground however it was part of Pride Park. Arrived 2 hours early despite panicking that we were going to be insanely late. Treated myself and Dad to a beer in the ground... not the cheapest but that was expected for a Championship ground. Was a Premier League cup between Derby's U23's and Wolves's U23's. Derby stood out and was levels above. Jayden Mitchell-Lawson was the standout man as well as getting the only goal of the game but other players definitely showed their talent and their futures possibly lie at big teams. Was a unexpectedly good day out, unrelated note got very pissed at the end of the night because of my colleagues at the time, was that drunk I couldn't put my hand in my pocket... the memories I will never forget x
