Game watched: Swindon Town 3-0 Notts County
My first League One game of the season and not a bad game at all. A fairly routine win for Swindon who won their first game in a number of games. Not the best first half with limited chances but the second half was much more open for Swindon who opened the scoring with a lovely bending shot from outside the box. The second, a slightly strange goal with a penalty given for an apparent trip by Notts keeper Roy Carroll even though he was facing the opposite direction and on the floor, totally clueless to what had happened. A late sending off for a Notts player finished off a fairly poor afternoon for the Nottingham club who conceded a late 3rd goal for their travel home. Great atmosphere from the Swindon fans, the Notts fans totally non-existent.
