A day out to remember as the travelling Shrimpers made a rare FA Cup 5th round appearance.  Almost 200 miles for most - a 2 mile walk for me from my student house.  Stan Collymore had the ball in the back of the net first but it was ruled out and Southend slipped to defeat.  It would be more than a decade before Southend were to play in front of a crowd of 26000 again...
