As football fans, there are many things we love about watching our beautiful game. That 94th winner bent into top bins away from home. A worldly from that new youth player in his first few games, celebrated right in front of you. The cocky away fan, stacking it hard, as he trips over his goofy mate who has been taunting you all game.
But it’s where you watch the game that counts. That stand, with a restricted view, overlooking the Humber Estuary with the ships sailing across. The view from the largest terrace in the English football league. Those wooden seats in the away end as your fans abuse your subs warming up.
With our football terraces declining in number, we thought that maybe they need celebrating and remembering. And in conjunction with our (fairly) newly launched Instagram page, and to support our already established twitter account, we are hoping to do this through the hashtag: #terracetuesday
The images and descriptions can be directly from the terrace as the fog lingers just over the halfway line, or of that ram packed terrace on that warm spring day as your team edge closer to safety. Whatever it is, remember the homes of besotted football!
Please see below some of our examples, and get posting on Twitter and Instagram your examples, and we’ll repost them, but remember, only on #terracetuesday
