Arsenal did it just over ten years ago, West Ham did it last season, whilst Tottenham are currently in the process of doing it. Stadium moves have been considered a vital part of the growth of all these London clubs, as they seek to provide improved capacity and facilities for supporters, whilst also increasing revenue streams that come with a modern new stadium. Chelsea set to be the next club to lay down new bricks and mortar in the English capital, constructing a new 60,000 capacity venue on the existing Stamford Bridge site at a projected cost of around £500… Read more »

For One Season Only: Spurs at Wembley
We welcome back Louis Maughan, who introduces us to Wembley, a new stalwart in doing the 92. Louis covers some of the basics, whilst also exploring what it is for Spurs to be playing at a home away from home, White Hart Lane. Ground: Wembley (19/92) Game: Tottenham v Chelsea Date 20/08/2017 Why Wembley, why Spurs? I’ve been to Wembley a few times, but only to see England friendlies and one-sided qualifiers. Every season I dream of watching my club play a major final at the National Stadium. These dreams have usually faded and died, however, before the start of… Read more »
Would Spurs be happy groundsharing Wembley with Chelsea?
With the rumours showing no signs of dying down the possibility of Tottenham and Chelsea shacking up together at Wembley could be happening as early as next summer. Ground: The Britannia Stadium 75/92 Game: Stoke City 1-1 Chelsea (Stoke win 5-4 on penalties) Date: 27/10/2015 I’ve heard so many variations on Andy Gray’s Lionel Messi quote that I don’t think anyone knows what the original was anymore. Did Gray say Messi would struggle “on a cold, wet Tuesday night in Stoke” or on a “wet, windy night at the Britannia”? Whichever, I –… Read more »

With work due to begin on the redevelopment of White Hart Lane in the summer of next year Spurs fans still don’t know where they will be travelling to follow their side. With talk of a Tottenham Chelsea Wembley groundshare across the tabloids we caught up with MF of Spurs news to get his thoughts. Groundsman: What do you think of the idea of moving to Wembley while White Hart Lane is redeveloped? MF: I’d rather not thanks. The rake of the seats is too shallow until you get into the Gods, it’s predominantly red, the beer is rubbish, it’s… Read more »
Tottenham Chelsea Wembley groundshare – view from the Bridge
Chelsea and Spurs are set to start major ground redevelopment projects on their current sites which will see the clubs seeking temporary homes. Both sides have reportedly expressed an interest in using the National Stadium leading to talk of the possibility of a groundshare. We caught up with David ‘Stamford Chidge’ Chidgey from the Chelsea FanCast to get a view from Stamford Bridge… Groundsman: What do you think of the idea of moving to Wembley while your ground is redeveloped? David: Well obviously we’ll have to move somewhere. It’s not ideal but I think most supporters are prepared to put… Read more »
