I watched four games at the Old Den and this was the last. I included it because George Best was then playing at Fulham and I had my future wife with me. He was the only player she had heard of. There were a few showers during the game so we were happy to be sitting in the covered east stand. The tickets were £1.10 each.
It would take my wife almost 26 years to recover and follow me to another English match. Again, it was goalless.
