Game watched: Crystal Palace 2-0 Hartlepool
Loved the Palace fans, proper variation of songs throughout the game.
The ground had plenty of character although it felt very hectic outside and trying to get in.

With the trains problems due to strike action, me & my son had to use the coach. This ment getting up at 3.15 am & setting off to Newcastle City center at around 4.30 am.
The coach set off for London at 5.25 am, the coach stopped off at various stages. Good things about the bus are the USB connections & a toilet the bad thing is there was not much room between the rows of seating. I was unable to fully open my news paper!!
Anyway we got into London at about 12pm lunch time & although we booked to get off at Victoria bus station, my son said we would be better getting off at Golders Green & getting a tube into King's Cross, this would save us time travelling a cross London, so that's what we did.
From King's Cross we walked to St. Pancras & got the Teames Link to London Bridge (£3.50 single fair) from there we got another train to Norwood Junction (£6.00 single fair)
From there it's about 10/20 minute walk to the ground. We ended up at a pub called the Prince George, the pub was fairly empty when we first arrived, but did not take to long to fill up & the atmosphere was quite good.
Anyway onto the game itself, the atmosphere in the ground where the Newcastle fans were was quite good but I don't remember much about the home fans singing very much. Both teams had chances but finishing was poor & it took one cracking save from Pope to stop Palace grabbing all three points.
After match ended 0 - 0 we made our way back into Central London, we did a little site seeing & had a sit down pizza in a place not far from Victoria bus station. Then onto the 11pm coach to Newcastle & then pick up our car & then 20 mins to get home. We got back to the house at around 6.30 Sunday morning.
