Tuesday afternoon in Gillingham. A ten minute walk to the ground to get a ticket followed by a visit to the on-site-bar where I had a couple of pints. Since I was occupying a table for four, I was approached by a bag lady who wanted to share the space with me. We got along just fine. The game was looking to end with a victory for the home side when Swindon equalised in injury time.

This was an enjoyable visit made better for it was Newport’s first win in five league matches. Newport started nervously and both teams could have gone ahead but it was Newport who took the lead and extended it with two quick successfully taken penalties. Afterwards both teams had chances but Newport held on to earn the three points.

Saints worst performance in a long while in Carabao Cup match. Great programme and pasty, but ground average for Tier 4 team. Electric scoreboard kept going off. Coaches park a considerable way from ground.

Never going to Gillingham again, the away end is horrible, dead atmosphere, Security are a joke, Basically one of our fans took his shirt of at the game, and there is nothing wrong with that, the security then pushes through us all and tries to grab our fan so I've tried pulling him back then he turned and tried to hit or grab me and it was all caught on video before he turned to one of our fans and hit his phone out of his hand, we were told a week after that he has been sacked from them which is good, but beside all that it was terrible and the away end is really sketchy
